All About Us  I Our Letter  I  Our Slideshow I View More Family Profiles

Our names are Dana and Jeff, and we thank you for taking the time to consider us.  Through the following pictures and words, we hope you could get a good sense of who we are, and what we are like as parents.   We could only imagine the feelings you have at this time, and we want you to know that your decision is one that is courageous and admirable. Of all the wonderful things we have experienced or obtained in our lives, not one of them could compare to the gift of a child.   We wish you peace, hope and strength as you moved forward to find the perfect parents for your baby.

Interesting and Fun Facts About Us!

Dana
  1. Growing up in an Italian family, food was a big part of our daily life and celebrations.  Holding on to my roots tightly, I enjoy cooking all types of food, trying out new recipes and making our favorites over and over!

  2. I played the clarinet for 12 years while attending school.  One of the most awesome experiences I had while in the music program in college was marching in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City!  Watching the parade was a tradition every Thanksgiving in my family, and being in it is something I will always remember.

  3. I love the color purple!  It seems everyone I know can tell you that.   Grape is also a favorite flavor of mine.  They just seem to go hand-in-hand

  4. I once had a goldfish that lived for seven years!  I didn’t even think goldfish could live that long!  I think it would have even lived longer if I didn’t go off to college and leave my brother in charge of it.

  5. I could sit and look at pictures for hours, and have a passion for photography.  I love being behind the camera and capturing precious moments.  I long to one day have a photography business of my own.

  6. I wouldn’t consider myself “lucky,” but I did win an instant win contest once.  What seemed to be a wrapped up coupon in a bag of potato chips ended up being a 100-dollar bill!

  7. Adoption had always been a big part of my life.  While growing up, five of my closest friends were adopted including my very first friend that lived on my block, my best friend in grade school, and my college roommate who was also my maid–of-honor in my wedding.

  8. I met my husband when I was 17 and we have been together ever since!  I saved over 100 hand-written letters that he wrote to me while we were away at college and they are something I will always cherish.

  9. I love a good tan, sand between my toes and the bright sunshine.  As a family tradition when I was young, we would drive to Longboat Key, Florida every summer with multiple families and enjoy a week just having fun in the sun!  Now, my Dad owns a condo on the beach in Florida and I look forward to making those same types of memories with my children.

  10. When I was a little girl, I always dreamed of becoming an elementary school teacher and a mom.  I taught 4th grade for seven years until the day I became a mother to our daughter, and nothing could complete my dream more than adding one more child to our family!

1. Growing up, my parents would take my brother, sister, and I on a family vacation every year.  This definitely put the “travel bug” in me!  Since then, I’ve lived in three different states, and have traveled to all fifty.  Family vacations for my kids will be a must!  I want them to see then world the same way I’ve been fortunate enough to.

  2. I started taking golf seriously as soon as I got out of college.  It has become great hobby of mine.  Each time I tee off, I strive to hit the ball 300 yards, shoot a game in the 80’s, and hope that maybe I’ll get my first hole-in-one!

  3. Music has been a big part of my life since I was 10 years old.  I took piano lessons for six years, and I also played the alto, tenor, and baritone sax from grade school through high school.  While in college, I even taught myself how to play the guitar!  To this day, I still enjoy playing and writing music!

  4. Another hobby of mine is fishing.  My Grandmother had a summer home on a lake in Wisconsin where I honed my fishing skills.  I enjoy bass fishing the most, and once I caught 25 fish in one day!

  5. I love food!  I’ve tried many different types of food from all over the world, but I’d say my favorite, so far, is Indian food.  I’m also not afraid to try something new!  Once in Mexico, I ate a grasshopper filled burrito!  If that doesn’t discourage me from trying new foods, I don’t know what will!

6. I also have an appetite for adventure!  I’ve owned four motorcycles over the last 12 years and have ridden bikes in many states, including the stunning coast of Kauai, Hawaii!

  7. I’m a huge Chicago sports fan!  I make at least one annual trip to a baseball, hockey, and football game to cheer on the home team! There’s nothing like sitting in the stands and being part of the crowd!

  8. My true passion in life is flying.  At the age of seven, my uncle (who is a pilot) let me fly his airplane from the back seat.  It was this awesome experience that inspired me to become a pilot at the age of 18, and I haven’t stopped flying since!  I’m truly lucky to make a living doing what I love!

  9. I’ve got a great fondness for the outdoors.  I really enjoy camping, hiking, and skiing the slopes!  I’ve done all three in Colorado on many occasions, and there’s no better place to enjoy the outdoors while taking in the beautiful scenery.

  10. I strive to be a mentor in everything I do!  From my career to my family life, I aim to set good examples for many, but most importantly, I want to be an influential and inspiring role model for my children!
