Our Family |

We met on a blind date! We had dinner
together at “The Italian Village” in
downtown Chicago.
We liked each other right away,
and were both amazed by how comfortable
it was for a blind date.
Two short years later we were
married! |

Dave is an artist, and loves cartooning.
Friends and family ask him to
draw pictures of themselves and events
all the time.
He
is already working on a picture book
about our family.
He cannot wait to add a new
member to the book! |

Every summer we go to Michigan and
vacation on the beach. We look forward
to this each year, and would love to
have our own summer place up there one
day. |

Maria loves learning about people and
languages from all around the world.
She works with children of
immigrant and refugee families from many
different countries, and helps them
learn to speak English. She speaks some
Spanish, and would like to be fluent one
day. |

5. |
We love to spend time with our family.
Our parents live within ten
minutes of us, and we see each other at
least twice a week.
We have siblings, aunts, uncles,
and cousins in the area as well. |

Dave loves sports.
Football and baseball are his
favorites.
He is a huge fan of the Chicago
Bears, and the Chicago Cubs.
He is desperately hoping he will
see the Cubs go to the World Series in
this lifetime! |

Maria learned how to bake cookies from
her grandmother when she was a little
girl.
She likes to bake them for
special people.
If Maria loves you, she will
probably make you some cookies. |

We secretly love to do the free Karaoke
on cable. |

|
|
|
|
|
9. |
Dave’s favorite holiday is Halloween.
He spends days getting our yard
ready for the trick-or-treaters.
He always leaves work early on
Halloween so he can be home when the
first kids get here. |

|
10. |
The absolute best time of our lives was
when we adopted our son Nicolas.
He has made every day brighter
for us.
We love him so much. |
