Dear Birth
Parents,
We would like to start
by thanking you for your brave and courageous decision
to consider adoption. We know that by making this
decision you only want what is best for your child and
we respect your desire to find the right family to love
and cherish your baby. In August 2007 we were
blessed with the adoption of our beautiful son Jacob.
We have a wonderful open relationship with his
birthparents and we know first-hand how truly amazing it
is to build a family through adoption. We are very
excited about completing our family with another child
and we appreciate you taking the time to get to know us
better.
We are Ernie & Lynn, a
fun-loving couple who like to laugh and truly enjoy each
other’s company.
Our
Relationship
We met 11 years ago
when we worked for the same company. Our
friendship quickly grew and we are still best friends.
We have been married for nine years now and can’t
imagine life without each other. Becoming first
time parents has been an incredible journey for us and
we feel our relationship is even stronger because of it.
We have certainly learned a lot about ourselves, our
marriage and what it is like to be a parent. We’ve
learned that we can handle the good times and bad as
long as we do it together. We’ve learned that we
work really well as a team. And we’ve learned that
parenting, while not always easy, is by far the most
rewarding experience in our lives. We will
continue to work really hard to provide an environment
of unconditional love, support, laughter and stability
for our family.
Our Home
We have the privilege of
living in Hawaii, a truly beautiful place. Ernie
was raised on the island of Oahu and he and Lynn moved
from her hometown in Florida 7 years ago. We
absolutely love living here! There is always so
much to do. We spend a lot of time outdoors and we
enjoy going to the beach, visiting local parks, swimming
in our pool and playing in the yard. Our home is
in a great community with lots of children and friendly
neighbors. We have a dog named Bailey who is an
adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is
playful and cute and is very good with children.
Our Jobs, Hobbies,
Interests and Activities
Ernie works in the Real
Estate industry and has been with the same company for
13 years. He enjoys being in sales and meeting new
people every day. Ernie’s passion is surfing.
He has been surfing most of his life and he loves the
water and being outside. When inside the house,
Ernie enjoys watching movies. His favorites are
action, drama, sci-fi, and psychological thrillers.
He also studied at a culinary school and is an excellent
cook. Lynn is a CPA and for many years
she enjoyed a successful career. When Jacob was
born Lynn became a stay-at-home mom. She
absolutely loves it! Lynn belongs to a moms club
where her and Jacob get together with other at-home moms
and their kids and do all kinds of fun activities.
They do field trips, playgroups, exercise groups,
holiday parties and community service projects.
Lynn is also the class parent leader for Jacob’s
preschool so she is involved in a lot of school
activities. Lynn loves being outdoors. Going
to the beach, taking long walks and hanging out at the
park are things she enjoys outside of the house.
At home she loves to cook, read, and spend time with
friends and family.
Our Dreams for
a Child
After many years of
trying to conceive, we now realize that adoption is a
beautiful way of building a family. We know that
adopting our son three years ago was a true gift from
God and we are forever grateful. We will never be
able to thank our son’s birthparents enough for the
amazing gift they have given us. Not only did we
gain a son, but we have gained extended family members
that are very special to us. We understand what a
loving sacrifice it is to create an adoption plan for
your child and we would be honored to be a part of your
plan. We are excited to share our values and the
lessons we have learned with our children. Some of
those values include the importance of a good education,
working hard for what you have, learning to appreciate
the simple things in life and treating others with
kindness and respect.
We are grateful for

would be thrilled with the opportunity of meeting you.
