To Our Special Birth Parents,

We feel an abundance of gratitude for the selfless decision you have made to create an adoption plan for your child and thank for taking the time to get to know us a little better through this letter.  Words will never be able to fully express and convey our admiration, respect and gratefulness to you for your precious gift.

 We hope our introduction has the same affect on you as a good book that pulls you in and touches your heart.  Our story is filled with love, adventure, happiness, and excitement.

We first met 15 years ago.  A simple Sonics basketball party turned into talking thru the night. Since then, we have been inseparable.  Moving through four houses remodeling them along the way, we have worked side by side building our future.  In our current house, we enjoy a view of a nearby lake; parks, walking trails and a great neighborhood that we call home.  We have a large fenced yard, with room for toys, games and outdoor adventure with a patient dog sitting with a ball ready to fetch. Inside we have a comfortable 3 bedroom 3 bath home with an office and open play room filled with a child’s laugh and energy.

Mike grew up in ‘the neighborhood’ house. Friends were always staying with the family, and there was never a dull moment with four siblings.  As the fourth child, peacemaking, negotiating and balance were keys to survival and those experiences shaped his life.  Growing up, his family valued a strong bond and a focus on supporting one another.  Having an adopted older brother, family was always defined by the special bond of love and nurture in the home.  Lynn grew up with two supportive, wonderful parents living a life of adventure.  From Hawaii, to traveling Europe, learning various cultures, skiing and going to her Dad’s music concerts, she was always on the go, and has kept that adventurous spirit in our marriage.  Lynn’s family is very close and we love spending time over a great barbeque.  As we grow our family through adoption, both families are extremely supportive and excited about the future.

Lynn flies the skies as a pilot, fulfilling a lifelong goal since she was a little girl. She pursued her passion and love of aviation following completion of her bachelor’s degree.  Since adopting our wonderful son Brody, Lynn has enjoyed the transition to a full time stay at home mom. Mike works in Information Technology as a program manager for a software company.  He has a bachelor’s degree and continues his passion for learning in computers and real estate.  Education and learning are important to us and we look forward to providing an environment that encourages a love for learning, and a positive zest for life.

In our free time, we are very active running, biking and competing in triathlons.  We enjoy the outdoors and camping with our beloved dog Lava, and can’t wait to share our love of nature.  On any given sunny day, we spend time at the lake and enjoying long walks in the neighborhood in the evening.  Lynn shares her love of animals thru volunteer time at an animal shelter while Mike is often found in the garage, working on a friend’s bike or finding a new project around the house.

We feel extremely fortunate to have a joyful, loving family and look forward to having another precious little one in our home. We are eager to share our love with another child and our family and friends are waiting to love a new baby and support us every step of the way.  Be assured that your child will be raised in an environment full of love.

We will do our best to teach, provide positive guidance and encouragement for the passions and dreams your child will develop.  We are committed to loving your child unconditionally while providing a secure and happy home. We look forward to creating an open adoption plan and building a lasting relationship, and feel that an open adoption is very important to their personal growth and self-esteem. We will respect the level of openness that you are comfortable with, whether it be letters, pictures, correspondence etc. Your child will always know the love that you have for him or her and you will always have a special place in our hearts.
