I started with
Journeys in January 2009 as the Intake
Coordinator. I am a native Oregonian, and have
a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Linfield.
I worked in the children’s mental health field
for 12 years with emotionally and behaviorally
disturbed children in intensive treatment
programs, and loved it!
am also an adoptive
parent; my husband and I adopted our son through
Journeys’ Domestic Program in 2004. He is the
sunshine of our lives!!
It has
always been important to me that my work benefit
children and families, and I think I have found
a great fit in this position! I love
helping families work through the complicated
processes of adoption…and as an adoptive parent,
I have an empathic perspective that is
supportive to our clients.
