Dear Expectant Parents,
Thank you for your incredible courage and willingness to
make an adoption plan.
Please know how excited we are for the
opportunity to share a little about ourselves with you.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our book
- we made it with love and care.
We are Ryan and Kimber.
We live in Washington and are both natives to the
Pacific Northwest.
Our family and friends are a large part of why
the northwest will always be home, but we also love the
weather - yes, even the rain (especially when it turns
to snow in the mountains).
Ryan loves to golf in the summer, Kimber
loves to garden.
We both enjoy hiking with our little dog, Sophie,
and we are excited to pack a baby along with us soon.
We really love the snow and the holidays so
winter is our favorite time of year.
Ryan is a skier and Kimber prefers to board.
We can’t wait to share our passion for the snow
with a child!
Ryan is an engineer for an
international company.
Kimber works 16-18 hours a week from home for a
non-profit dedicated to saving great apes in Africa.
Kimber grew up on a small farm where she
learned to appreciate animals and has dedicated her
career and much of her volunteer work to their
protection.
Ryan grew up in the city.
We live in a quaint neighborhood in
walking distance of homemade ice cream and pizza as well
as a Farmer’s Market.
We hope to teach the virtues of the city and the
country to a child by exploring the fun of both.
We share a curiosity of the world - we love to learn and
experience new things, which is why we cherish the
opportunity to travel, try new recipes and listen to all
types of music.
We have a wonderful circle of friends, most with young
children.
Ryan’s immediate and large extended family live within a
half hour and include his parents, sister and her
husband, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandfather.
Ryan’s cousins recently adopted twin girls
through Journeys of the Heart so we are thrilled to be
able to raise the children together.
Kimber’s parents still live on the small farm where she
grew up.
Her grandfather now lives with them and her brother and
his family live a short distance away on 40 acres.
Both farms have dogs, cats, chickens, and cows.
Tawny, the horse is ready to teach another
toddler the fun of riding - although she is a little
slower than she used to be, but forever patient.
Family, friends and animals are incredibly important
to us and play a huge role in our lives.
We also enjoy just hanging out at home watching
movies together.
Both of us love movies and we already have a huge
collection of kid movies.
Ryan also likes to watch sports and play video
games.
Kimber prefers a good book, although she does love
college football!
Our home is filled with love and support.
Our wish is to provide a child the opportunity to
travel often, pursue what ever dream she chooses, and
become whomever the child wishes to be with our constant
support and unconditional love.
We are so excited about the opportunity to grow our
family through open adoption - so are all of our friends
and family.
Please know how grateful we are for your amazing courage
and strength.
Love can be expressed in many ways and we
understand creating an adoption plan is rooted in love.
If you choose us, we promise to honor your gift
now and forever.
Open adoption is beautiful.
We have seen its benefits first hand in our
cousin’s adoption and we are dedicated to it.
We will embrace you with open hearts.
And, let everyone know - from day one - how much
our child is loved by his or her birth family.
You will always be an important part of our
lives.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.
We wish you the very best!
With all our hearts,
Ryan and Kimber
