From Chris and Susan's Letter..."As well as
enjoying time with family and friends, we share a
healthy and active lifestyle.
We enjoy being in nature, often
work out together in our gym, and love preparing healthy
meals and entertaining.
Chris plays rugby and is an avid
snowboarder, while Susan enjoys yoga and begins each day
by walking Rubi.
We also love spending time
together traveling, tending to our garden and reading."

From Greg and Martina's
Letter..."We
want you to know that we will raise our children with
devotion, love and attention. It is our goal to be
involved in their lives in a meaningful way, by helping
him or her to develop confidence, individuality and
compassion. Most of all we want to be there for them to
provide a secure and safe environment in which they can
just be themselves and grow into the beautiful person
they were meant to be. We truly encourage your
involvement in an open adoption and please know that you
will always be honored in our home. We will embrace you
in our lives and your child will always know they are
loved by you."

From Paul and Karen's
letter..."We
would want to raise our children the same way we
ourselves were raised, with the same core values and
beliefs: The value of family, the importance of being
kind, courteous, respectful, and always have a positive
outlook towards life. We would coach your child based on
love and understanding, with plenty of patience, a bunch
of laughs, and a good dose of humor. Comfort them on
difficult days, give smiles when there is sadness, big
hugs when spirits are low. We would always do our best
to be their role models."

From Brian and Mary's
letter..."Family is everything to us. We spend
lots of time together. We even vacation together!
Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and birthdays are spent
filled with delicious food, fun, laughter and sharing.
Grandpa, Grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins are waiting
to welcome your child into our family. We cannot
wait to carve a Halloween pumpkin, fill his or her
Christmas stocking and color Easter eggs with your
child. Our families look forward to embracing your
child and welcoming them as our newest member."

From Mark and Meg's letter..."There
is so much
we would like to tell you about ourselves to help you in
your decision, but most of all we want you to know that
we have more than enough love for your baby. Our home
is a safe, nurturing, and fun place where all the kids
like to play. We strive to have our house be the one
where the kids want to hang out, and feel comfortable
from the young years through the teenage years. As we
write this, we can hear Max and his friends from
school. We take turns playing with them, doing crafts,
and hanging out in the yard and driveway with them.
Throughout the day, we have heard the basketball bouncing,
baseball bat hitting the ball, yelling, and laughing,
with the occasional request for snacks. It is the best
music to both of us."

From Bethany and Matthew's Letter..."Life
in our home: We do play dough, paint, go on picnics and
play at the park. We
ride bikes, read stories and run through the sprinklers.
We love spending time together as a family and
often have family movie nights with popcorn and pillows;
day trips to the beach or elsewhere for hikes and to
soak up the beauty; visits to the zoo, children’s museum
and art museum. We
are very active and love to play but we also love
relaxing together as we all cuddle up on the couch and
make up silly stories as a family or dance to our
favorite tunes. It
is important to us that our children have a life full of
fun and happiness, but we also want them to be kind,
generous, honest, hard working and respectful members of
society. ."

From Dawn and Mike's
Letter..."We
are fortunate that Dawn is able to work part-time from
home, which will allow her to be home with the children
all day and Mike has very flexible work hours and 4
weeks of vacation which leaves us with plenty of family
time. We are very close to our extended family and they
are very open and supportive to us building our family
through adoption.
Everyone is within driving distance, so we visit
often. As a
family we like to attend the local minor league baseball
games, zoo, and various festivals throughout the area or
just relax and enjoy our Sunday morning pancake
breakfast in our pajamas.
On weekends we visit with friends and their
children for play dates, go to museums, or just enjoy a
good cookout."

From Mary Frances and Steve's
Letter..."
Please take
comfort in believing that there is a safe, loving, and
permanent home waiting for your child.
We know that open adoption is a lifelong journey
for all of us, and we will approach it with compassion,
honesty, and commitment.
We all want what is best for your child—and we
will respect your wishes when it comes to establishing a
level of openness and contact that makes you
comfortable."

From Wesley and Stephanie's Letter..."Our goal
for your child is to be open with adoption and the way
our family was built. We have several friends who
have adopted children, and we are a part of an adoption
ministry through our church ; so your child will grow up
in a positive environment where adoption is an accepted
and cherished way to build a family. Your child
will grow up knowing how much you love him/her, to
choose life for him/her. Thank you for considering
us as a family for your child. Please know that we
are praying for you and whatever decision you choose to
make for your child."

From Randy and Meagan's Letter..."We like to travel and cannot wait to have a child to
share new experiences with.
Our favorite place is Disney World and we’ve
always wanted to bring a child there.
We also like to go to the Oregon Coast and look
forward to playing in the sand and building sandcastles.
Another place we love to go is our family
vacation house in Canada.
We like to do all kinds of outdoor activities and
just hanging out with family."

From Phil and Mikie's Letter..."We also like to do a lot of traveling
as a family. Our favorite spot is the Cayman
Islands. When we visit the Caymans, our favorite
excursion is to swim with the stingray at Stingray City.
We also love to ride horses on the beach, jump waves and
watch the sunset. This year Santa Claus rang the bell at
4 a.m. and left airline tickets to Mexico for Christmas!
What a great experience to have a Feliz Navidad on the
beach!"

From Steve and Jenni's Letter..."Our extended
family is most important to us. They are our
strength, support and guidance. We enjoy seeing
Steve’s family during the holidays. We are very close to
Jenni’s brother and his large extended family and
cherish the time we spend with them during holidays,
vacations and free time. Our summer
vacations are spent at their lake house with all the
kids. We all enjoy swimming, riding wave runners,
taking sunset cruises on the pontoon boat and talking by
the campfire. Our nieces and nephews are the
highlights of those gatherings and they cannot wait to
welcome a new child into their lives."

From David and Sara's Letter..."Family
is very important to us.
Both of us grew up in very
loving and supportive families, and we hope to give that
same upbringing to a child.
David’s parents, brother, and
sister live near us and we still enjoy sharing many of
the traditions and activities he grew up with.
We celebrate birthdays, vacation
together, and often get together for just an evening of
fun.
Holidays also usually involve a
large family gathering with either side.
Sara’s mom, dad and stepmom, 2
brothers and their families all live in Washington or
Oregon.

From David and Shelly's Letter..."We expect that
the child will grow up to know and understand how he or
she came into our lives and the world, appreciating both
you as birthparents and ourselves. We will share
as much as we can with the child about you, and work
with you to foster a relationship that is comfortable
for all of us. We have a lot of respect for you
and the decision you are making. No matter if we
are the right fit, we know you will make the best choice
for your child."

From Chris and Patti's Letter..."We look forward
to offering a child the opportunity to grow up in a
house full of love and letting them experience life
while providing guidance along the way. As soon as
our child is old enough to understand, we will tell them
about their adoption as did Chris’ parents with him and
his sister. We feel it is important for a child to know
how much their birthmother has given them. It
takes a tremendous amount of courage and strength to
allow another family to raise your child and we will
always honor and respect you for that."

From Ray and Jill's Letter..."We are excited
about adoption because we want a family.
We want to love a child and
guide him/her to adulthood.
We both went on fun family trips
as kids and have many great memories.
As a child, Jill always enjoyed
reading and learning and playing with her friends and
older brother Gregory, who was always introducing Jill
to new games and puzzles.
Ray was more of a spirited
adventure seeker, always on his bike and running around
full of energy, dragging brother Robert and sister Linda
into his adventurous activities.
We can't wait to share these
stories and be part of a child's development as they
pursue their own unique interests and talents."

From Alasdair and Rudi's letter..."We enjoy
being parents, and share the responsibilities of
parenting.
We feel that parenthood is a
sort of loving adventure, one in which we are all
constantly learning about ourselves and each other.
We hope to raise our children to
be honest, respectful, open-minded, self-confident,
responsible, and sensitive to the needs of others.
We feel it is important to
provide our children with educational and creative
opportunities, while being as supportive as we can of
their choices.
As a biracial couple ourselves,
we believe that children benefit from being raised in an
ethnically and culturally diverse environment."
