Meet with a
Journeys counselor
If you decide you’d like
to make an adoption plan
you’ll meet with a
journeys’ coordinator to
discuss your
needs. Together you will
create an adoption plan.
Your coordinator can
show you letters and
pictures from waiting
families who wish to
adopt.
Here is a link to some
of the families we have
online now Waiting Families.
The main thing to
remember is that you are
in control and you
make the decisions.
Your Decision
You are the only
one who can make
the decision to
carry out your
adoption plan.
Your adoption
coordinator will
be there for you
to assist in the
adoption plan if
that’s what you
choose.
Placement
When it’s time to
finalize the adoption by
signing legal documents
your adoption
coordinator will be
there to guide you
through it. Each state
is different in their
adoption laws but
generally, once the
legal documents are
signed and the adopting
parents have the baby,
the adoption is
irrevocable.
Adoption is a courageous
and loving option; you
will know that you have
given your child a
wonderful life with
loving parents.
