india child adoption As the India Program Director, Lisa is responsible for all aspects of facilitating Adoption Services for families adopting from India. She has worked in the field of adoption for over 20 years and has been involved with the India Program for over 10 years. She brings a wealth of wisdom and knowledge to the position. She has the extraordinary opportunity to work with talented, qualified, and gifted co-workers at the agency to carry out Journeys of the Heart’s mission and goals. She has developed and maintained great working relationships with orphanages and government authorities in India.

Lisa travels to India regularly and this hands-on work allows her to grow these relationships and to interact with and evaluate the available children.  This, in turn, gives Lisa invaluable insight into placing these children with their forever family.

Lisa has extensive training in working with parents, specializing in the areas of grief and loss, and coordinating family dynamics workshops. Her comprehensive experience in the field of adoption includes coordination of pre-adopt services, teaching education programs, and conducting searches and facilitating reunions for birth parents and adoptees.  Lisa has been the guest speaker at numerous conferences on many vital topics.

Lisa is committed to providing essential services to families, with a focus on the health of the whole family unit. Her broad experience in the scope of adoption, both personally and professionally, combined with her warm and deeply caring nature, makes her an excellent leader and family advocate. She is a parent of seven children, four of whom came to her family through international adoption. She is also the grandparent of nine children, two of whom were adopted from India.
