When my husband, Isaac and I, decided to adopt, we really didn’t know where to turn. We interviewed several places and once we found Journeys of the Heart, we knew we were home. What impressed us most was the organization of the program. As time went on, we were able to appreciate the Journeys family and all of the support they were able to provide for us. Every detail was mapped out in advance  and we always felt as though things were on track. We felt so safe knowing that Journeys was going to be there to help us through our adoption experience. We particularly liked the fact that so much of the Journeys program seemed to be centered on the birthmother and her well-being. It was important to us to go through an agency that would treat the birthmother with compassion and understanding and a firm respect for her wishes.  We really wanted to someday be able to tell our child that his or her birthmother was cared for and nurtured during this time.
